Rampf Production Systems has launched a new multifunctional cell that enables the automated mixing and dispensing of reactive resin systems, such as polyurethanes. The MC-Easy cell is compatible with small quantities due to its compact size, simple operation, and short set-up times, according to the company. Other applications include adhesives, gap fillers, and sealing systems.
The company stated that the machine is flexible and can be easily set up, moved, or integrated into existing production lines due to its plug-and-play approach. The components are processed using a static mixer, and the cell is equipped with a six-axis robot.
This robot is equipped with Fruitcore programming and a real-time 3D display of its movement. It has a reach of approximately 600 mm and a maximum load capacity of 3 kg. The cell incorporates the robot's control cabinet and manually fillable material containers for the components. Cartridges, drums, and 200-liter containers may also serve as sources of material.
“The cell concept is particularly suitable for applications that require small quantities in combination with high component variability and reproducibility,” said Albert Schmid, CEO at Rampf Production Systems.
