Novoloop and Huide Partner to Scale Production of Circular TPU

Novoloop®, a U.S.-based pioneer in circular innovation, has announced a strategic partnership with Shanghai Huide Science & Technology Co., Ltd. to scale production of its Lifecycled™ thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The partnership is formalised through a five-year Contract Manufacturing Agreement, establishing clear long-term terms for supply, pricing, and quality assurance.

Novoloop’s proprietary technology transforms post-consumer polyethylene waste into virgin-quality Lifecycled™ polyols and polyurethane, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional fossil-based materials. This process enables the reuse of difficult-to-recycle plastics in high-performance applications, supporting the transition towards a circular economy.

Huide brings nearly three decades of expertise in polyurethane innovation, with capabilities spanning research and development, process scale-up, manufacturing, and supply chain management. This positions Huide as an ideal partner to industrialise Novoloop’s advanced materials.

The companies have already successfully produced multiple commercial batches of Lifecycled™ 67A TPU using Novoloop’s polyols on Huide’s reactive extrusion lines. All batches met rigorous quality and performance benchmarks, validating the feasibility of scaling production with recycled content.

As part of the agreement, the partners will implement Global Recycled Standard (GRS) traceability and reporting systems, ensuring transparency as output grows. The collaboration also sets the foundation for expanding into additional grades of Lifecycled™ TPU.
