Lubrizol has expanded its partnership with IMCD to strengthen the distribution of medical polymer solutions in China, with IMCD appointed as an authorised distributor for Lubrizol’s medical polymers portfolio in East China. The collaboration builds on the companies’ established relationship in Europe and North America and is expected to improve access to Lubrizol’s medical-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) products for both domestic and international medical device manufacturers.

The partnership comes amid continued growth in China’s medical device sector, supported by increasing investment in local research, development, and manufacturing activities. East China remains a key hub for medical device innovation and production, creating strong demand for advanced, high-performance materials. By combining Lubrizol’s expertise in medical-grade TPU solutions with IMCD’s extensive distribution network, technical support capabilities, and operational infrastructure, the companies aim to enhance customer access to specialised materials and better support evolving product development and manufacturing requirements within the healthcare industry.
