Lubrizol has launched a new Estane TPU production line at its Shanghai manufacturing facility, strengthening its presence in the paint protection film (PPF) market in the Asia-Pacific region. This move aims to localize production, improve supply chain efficiency, and accelerate market responsiveness.
The company emphasized that its Estane TPU offers non-yellowing properties and strong mechanical durability, making it ideal for high-quality PPF applications. By enhancing local production, Lubrizol aims to ensure the use of premium raw materials, leverage advanced manufacturing processes, and strengthen partnerships across the value chain to drive industry growth towards high-value and sustainable solutions.
Beyond vehicle protection, the PPF market is evolving to meet consumer demand for additional benefits such as color customization, aesthetic enhancements like graphics, targeted area protection, and sustainability. Lubrizol plans to address these trends through innovative technologies.
“China is an integral part of Lubrizol’s global innovation strategy,” said Henry Liu, Vice President of Lubrizol Asia Pacific. “Through localized production and full value-chain collaboration, we aim to create greater impact and drive the entire industry forward. Our ongoing investment in local capabilities reflects our long-term commitment to the region.”
