Givaudan has officially inaugurated its new state-of-the-art Taste & Wellbeing production facility in Cikarang, Indonesia, marking a major milestone in the company's expansion strategy across Southeast Asia. The project represents an investment of CHF 50 million and is designed to strengthen Givaudan's manufacturing capabilities while meeting rising regional demand for innovative food solutions.
The new facility spans 24,000 square metres on a 50,000-square-metre site and will manufacture savoury, sweet, and snack flavour powders for a wide range of food and beverage applications. The site will initially create around 60 new jobs, with additional expansion planned as demand grows.
Sustainability has been integrated into the facility's design. The production site incorporates solar energy systems, rainwater harvesting, green electricity partnerships, energy-efficient lighting, and advanced water management technologies. These initiatives are expected to reduce the plant's environmental footprint while improving operational efficiency and resilience.
According to Givaudan, the new Indonesia facility reinforces its long-term commitment to the country's food industry and local economy. By expanding local production capacity and accelerating innovation, the company aims to deliver faster customer support and capitalize on the growing demand for flavour solutions across Southeast Asia. The investment further strengthens Givaudan's regional manufacturing network and positions the company for sustainable long-term growth in one of the world's fastest-growing food markets.
