Takasago International Corporation has completed a new manufacturing facility at its Iwata Factory in Japan, strengthening its production capabilities for fine chemicals. The company held a completion ceremony for the new facility on 2 September 2025. The investment forms part of Takasago’s long-term Vision 2040, which is centred on the principles of “Care for People, Respect the Environment”.

The new facility was developed around the concept of providing multi-purpose manufacturing equipment that is designed to be people-friendly, environmentally conscious and capable of supporting applications that were previously difficult to achieve. The facility will primarily be used to increase fine chemicals manufacturing capacity, enabling Takasago to strengthen its production infrastructure and respond more effectively to evolving customer requirements.

The investment is expected to enhance the company’s manufacturing system and support the continued expansion of its fine chemicals business. The project also highlights Takasago’s focus on combining manufacturing capacity expansion, environmental considerations and operational efficiency within its production network. Fine chemicals represent an important part of Takasago’s portfolio, alongside flavours, fragrances and aroma ingredients.

By adding new multi-purpose production capabilities at the Iwata site, the company aims to improve manufacturing flexibility while supporting future business growth. The completion of the facility therefore represents a strategic investment in fine chemicals production capacity in Japan and reinforces Takasago’s commitment to developing a more sustainable and capable manufacturing network.
