Clariant Expands Daya Bay Plant, Grows Exolitâ„¢ OP Line for E-Mobility

Clariant has completed its CHF 100 million investment in the Daya Bay facility, with the second production line set to become fully operational in November. This expansion enhances Clariant’s capacity to meet the rising demand for more sustainable flame-retardant solutions across Asia and globally, particularly within the fast-growing e-mobility sector.

With this world-class manufacturing plant, we strengthen our leading position in innovative and more sustainable fire safety solutions while improving our ability to serve customers across the Asia Pacific region with reduced delivery times and tailored solutions.
Also, Clariant announces the expansion of its Exolitâ„¢ OP flame-retardant portfolio with two new high-performance solutions specifically developed for polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) applications in e-mobility. The new products, Exolitâ„¢ OP 1242 (TP) and Exolitâ„¢ OP 1266 (TP), will be showcased at K 2025.
