T. Hasegawa Co. Acquires Shares in Abelei Inc.

On August 23, the US affiliate of Japanese corporation T. Hasegawa Co. revealed that it had paid $48 million for shares of Abelei Inc. Marcia Arb, Shelley Henderson, and Karen R. Criss Revocable Living Trust sold the company to T. Hasegawa U.S.A. Inc., based in Cerritos.

In 2023, Abelei reported $8.3 million in revenue and $1.43 million in net profits. Abelei was formed in 1981 and is headquartered in North Aurora, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Abelei manufactures and sells flavor compounds for a variety of uses in the food, beverage, confectionery, dairy, and health/nutrition industries.
