Penta Fine Ingredients Acquires Synerzine, Expanding Its Flavour and Fragrance Ingredients Portfolio

Penta Fine Ingredients has completed the acquisition of ICS Georgia, Inc., operating as Synerzine, strengthening its position in the global flavour and fragrance ingredients market.
Announced on 9 October 2026, the acquisition expands Penta’s speciality aroma chemicals portfolio and manufacturing capabilities. Based in Ellenwood, Georgia, Synerzine supplies more than 1,200 aroma ingredients, including speciality pyrazines and natural, kosher and halal ingredients.
The company brings over 40 years of experience in aroma raw materials and custom manufacturing. The acquisition supports Penta’s strategy to expand its speciality chemicals, fragrance ingredients and flavour ingredients business through strategic acquisitions.
Alongside the deal, Judy Pruss, Synerzine’s former president, has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Penta Fine Ingredients. She will lead customer engagement, business development and commercial strategy across the combined business. The integration is expected to broaden the product portfolio, strengthen manufacturing capabilities and expand customer access to speciality ingredients.
Penta, backed by Keystone Capital Management, also confirmed that it will continue pursuing acquisitions in speciality chemicals, ingredient distribution and manufacturing. The financial terms of the Synerzine acquisition have not been disclosed.
