Graco to Relocate Minneapolis Operations to Dayton to Support PU Business Growth

Graco Inc. has announced plans to move its Minneapolis operations to a larger, state-of-the-art facility in Dayton, Minnesota, over the next two years—a strategic shift aimed at supporting the company’s growing polyurethane (PU) equipment business. The relocation will bring around 400 employees together under one roof in a modern, solar-powered campus designed to improve efficiency and collaboration across key divisions, including those focused on PU dispensing solutions.

The move also opens up 40 acres of prime Mississippi riverfront property in Northeast Minneapolis, which is expected to attract significant developer interest. The site’s location, adjacent to new housing developments and Graco Park, positions it as a valuable opportunity for urban redevelopment.

At the heart of Graco’s strategy is a 538,000-square-foot facility in Dayton, equipped with a 1.4-megawatt solar array that’s expected to offset over 23,000 tons of CO₂ emissions over 30 years. The new space will house both office and manufacturing operations, providing expanded capacity for Graco’s Industrial Products and Process divisions—both of which play a critical role in delivering high-performance PU equipment and solutions for insulation, automotive, and construction applications.

By consolidating its operations and investing in sustainable infrastructure, Graco is strengthening its ability to meet rising demand in the PU market while reinforcing its commitment to innovation, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
