DuPont Launches Wide-Spray PU Foam Sealant

DuPont Performance Building Solutions has introduced new polyurethane spray foam with broad coverage. Great Stuff Wide Spray foam sealant is intended for the purpose of air-sealing seams, joints, large gaps, irregular surfaces, and hard-to-reach spaces.

The company stated that the one-component foam sealant expands to a maximum of one inch, resulting in a seal that is weather-resistant, airtight, and durable. It is compatible with a variety of materials, including wood, metal, masonry, glass, and most plastics, and can be applied quickly and without sagging to both horizontal and vertical surfaces, both indoors and outdoors.

It is fully cured in 24 hours, cuttable in 1-2 hours, and tack-free in 10 minutes. No respirator is necessary, as the foam does not contain any residual isocyanate.

When sprayed in a four-inch-wide band, the product is supplied as a kit with two 18-ounce cans that cover up to 60 linear feet. The kit also includes both four-inch and six-inch nozzles. It is available for purchase at Lowe's, a home improvement chain in the United States.
