Wevo has announced the establishment of WEVO Chemical India Private Limited, headquartered in Gurugram, southwest of New Delhi, as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in India’s rapidly expanding polyurethane solutions market. The new subsidiary will feature a dedicated local sales team to provide faster, more targeted customer support, alongside the development of a nationwide sales network. Additionally, a flexible supply chain concept has been introduced to streamline logistics and ensure a steady flow of materials for Wevo’s trusted potting compounds, adhesives, and sealants.
A central component of this supply chain strategy is the seamless movement of materials between Wevo’s logistics hub in Singapore and a distribution warehouse (container freight station) in India. According to Gerd Viertel, “In the fast-growing Indian market, rapid material availability and reliable delivery processes are decisive for our customers’ success. Our new supply chain concept ensures constant product availability and significantly reduces lead times.” The approach also enables products to be supplied with extended shelf life.
Establishing a nationwide presence in India is the logical next step for us to meet market demands. As part of our strategic expansion, the company forms the basis for further growth and long-term partnerships with our customers across the country.
With a deep understanding of industry requirements, Wevo’s Indian sales team will work closely with customers to provide standard materials or tailor-made formulations, offering direct on-site application support. Initially, the focus will be on polyurethane potting compounds for the electronics sector, which are widely used in industries such as automotive, energy technology, and home appliances. These liquid polyurethanes, suitable for dispensing or screen-printing processes, support both fully and partially automated manufacturing, including PCB potting applications.
Wevo, a globally recognized manufacturer of resins and polyurethane chemicals for high-quality potting compounds, adhesives, and sealants, plans to closely integrate the Indian subsidiary into its global network. The new entity represents a key milestone in the company’s international growth strategy.
