Wanhua Chemical, ENGEL and Hitech Forge Strategic Alliance to Advance Polyurethane Innovation

On 10 October 2025, at the K Exhibition in Germany, Wanhua Chemical, ENGEL, and Hitech Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at driving innovation across the automotive manufacturing value chain. The signing ceremony was attended by senior executives including Hua Weiqi, Executive Vice President of Wanhua Chemical Group; Mr Gero Willmeroth, President Asia and Oceania of ENGEL; and Sun Wenqiang, Chairman of Hitech.

This partnership unites three leading players representing key segments of the polymer materials and precision manufacturing ecosystem. Wanhua Chemical, a global pioneer in advanced chemical materials, will contribute its expertise in high-performance polyurethanes and engineering plastics, offering sustainable and lightweight solutions to meet the evolving demands of the automotive sector. ENGEL, a leader in injection moulding technology, will provide state-of-the-art process and equipment support for the production of complex and high-precision components, while Hitech will leverage its extensive experience in designing and producing over 10,000 automotive moulds to ensure accurate transformation from material design to final product realisation.

The collaboration aims to create a fully integrated “materials–equipment–moulds” value chain, enhancing development efficiency, reducing production costs, and accelerating the adoption of lightweight and intelligent technologies in vehicle manufacturing.

Through this synergistic approach, the three partners will deliver comprehensive polyurethane-based moulding solutions, supporting automotive clients from concept to mass production. Looking ahead, the alliance is set to strengthen technical cooperation, promote sustainable material innovation, and open a new chapter in the high-quality, technology-driven development of the global automotive components industry.
