Turkish PU Boot Manufacturer Expands Capacity to Meet Rising International Demand

Turkish PU boot manufacturer Ateş AŞ is expanding production capacity at its Adana plant in southern Turkey to meet rising demand in international markets, according to senior company officials.

Deputy General Manager for Production Nazım Turgut revealed in an interview with the local business daily *Dünya* that the company invested around €4 million in the Adana facility, where it produces 1,000 pairs of PU boots daily across 10 different models.

With growing export sales, Ateş has established a presence in 28 countries across the Middle East and Europe, including key markets such as Egypt, Italy, and Bulgaria. The company is also working to obtain necessary permits for exports to the US, Turgut noted.

“We prioritize quality, affordability, and customer satisfaction, making us one of Turkey’s leading brands,” Turgut stated. “In addition to supplying large projects like the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, we provide products to major clients such as Turkish Airlines. Our R&D activities will allow us to add new products for the occupational safety sector each year.”

Founded in 1969, Ateş employs over 200 staff. While specializing in PU boots, the company also manufactures various products for the construction and manufacturing sectors.

Initially considering Istanbul for its PU boot factory, Ateş eventually chose Adana for the 10,000m² facility. The company operates a distribution center in Çerkezköy in western Turkey to support its export operations.
