ThermoSafe, a global leader in temperature-controlled packaging technologies, has made a substantial increase in its US based manufacturing capabilities for Vacuum Insulated Panels (VIPs), a critical component of high-performance cold chain packaging for the life sciences industry.
The investment enhances ThermoSafe's capacity to provide pharmaceutical and biotech customers with enhanced operational control, faster response times, and greater supply assurance in response to the ongoing evolution of global sourcing pressures and supply chain risks.
VIP technology is essential for safeguarding temperature-sensitive therapies, as it provides superior thermal performance in comparison to conventional insulation materials. ThermoSafe's expansion of VIP manufacturing in-house in the US allows customers to reduce risk in a variety of ways, such as supply disruption, extended lead times, and product performance variability.
“Control has become one of the most valuable assets in today’s supply chain. By expanding our U.S.-based VIP manufacturing, we are giving pharma and biotech customers the ability to reduce dependency, respond faster to change, and operate with greater confidence in how their temperature-sensitive products are protected,” said Jim Lassiter, President & CEO of ThermoSafe.
ThermoSafe's vertically integrated approach also facilitates close collaboration with customers in the areas of package design, qualification, and implementation, thereby ensuring that solutions are in accordance with real-world distribution conditions and operational requirements.
