Symrise Opens a New Training Center in Holzminden, Providing Room for Growth
Symrise's new training centre in Holzminden provides ample opportunities for learning, skill development, and professional progression. On October 19, the company opens a contemporary learning centre at its headquarters for apprentices in five technical professions, with a capacity of around 30 trainees in each field.
Beyond that, Symrise provides approximately 20 administrative apprenticeships. The €1.7 million investment demonstrates Symrise's long-term commitment to producing qualified people while also improving the site's prospects.
Symrise's training facility combines current technology and hands-on learning to help students learn, explore ideas, and discover solutions. The facility, which is around 340 square metres, mixes hands-on training and classroom education. It encourages collaboration, new ideas, and autonomous discovery. It also brings experienced experts together with young people who want to change the future.
"Young individuals contribute ideas, curiosity, and new perspectives to our firm. We want to create an environment in which people can discover their talents, develop their skills, and boldly build their professional destinies," says Dr. Stephanie Cossmann, Symrise Board Member for HR, Legal, Sustainability, and Labour Director. "With our new training center, we are investing in people's development. At the same time, we acknowledge our obligation to the region and create the groundwork for Symrise's long-term success."
"Good vocational training provides much more than technical expertise. "It sparks enthusiasm, encourages initiative, and gives young people confidence in their own abilities," says Denise Bochmann, Head of Apprenticeships and Training at Symrise. "Our new center creates space for collaboration, developing new ideas, and inspiring learning." Personal coaching remains extremely important to us. Our tutors guide young talents as they gradually take on more responsibility and exceed their own expectations."
The new facility also helps to put the Holzminden Site Vision 2035 into action. The company intends to use this investment in personnel to plan the site's long-term development, which will contribute to the ONE Symrise strategy. Skilled people, cross-functional collaboration, and technology competence are critical foundations for innovation and long-term growth. They assist Symrise in developing solutions for its customers and increasing its long-term competitiveness.
