Symrise Completes Floral Concept Acquisition

Symrise has acquired 100% of Floral Concept, a French producer of premium natural fragrance ingredients headquartered in Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne in the Pays de Grasse region. Following the acquisition, Floral Concept will operate within Symrise’s Fragrance division.

Following the initial announcement in July, the completion represents another step in Symrise’s ONE Symrise strategy and its efforts to expand its Premium Naturals portfolio. Floral Concept will join Maison Lautier 1795 to establish a dedicated natural ingredients cluster in the Pays de Grasse region.

“We are delighted to welcome Floral Concept and its employees to Symrise. This milestone strengthens our Premium Naturals platform and adds exceptional sourcing relationships, natural raw material expertise and transformation capabilities to our Fragrance business. Together, we will offer customers an even richer palette while preserving Floral Concept’s authenticity and entrepreneurial spirit,” says Michael Friede, President Scent & Care Segment.

Established in 2002, Floral Concept develops and supplies high-quality natural ingredients for fine fragrances, including extracts derived from jasmine, rose, orange blossom, ambrette and blackcurrant.

“Today marks an exciting new chapter for Floral Concept. Joining Symrise allows us to preserve our craftmanship, the quality of our products and trusted relationships while gaining access to a broad global platform and new opportunities for innovation and growth,” says Frédérique Rémy, General Manager, Floral Concept.

Maintaining business continuity is a key immediate priority, with Floral Concept’s employees, culture, close customer relationships, producer network and technical expertise forming the core strategic value of the acquisition.

Over time, customers will gain access to a wider range of premium natural ingredients, stronger sourcing and processing expertise, and Symrise’s extensive global fragrance capabilities.

“Together, Floral Concept and Maison Lautier 1795 combine premium naturals expertise with the customer proximity and producer relationships that distinguish both businesses. Our ambition is to set a new benchmark for creativity, quality and sustainability in perfumery,” says Ricardo Omori, President Global Scent Division at Symrise.
