Symrise has announced the launch of new chicken powders that will be produced at its Berric plant in France. Symrise's manufacturing capacity and portfolio will be expanded with the new spray-drying tower, which will be operational by mid-2026. The company already provides a comprehensive spectrum of chicken solutions for taste, texture, mouthfeel, and nutritional benefits, including food ingredients and high-impact flavour creations. This expansion will increase the adaptability and breadth of its chicken product, meeting major client needs.
The industrial expansion reacts to rising global demand for chicken, which is one of the most popular components worldwide. It strengthens Symrise's chicken offering and assures consistent supply for consumers across multiple regions. While Symrise already manufactures similar powders in the United States, the new French powders provide access to the European, African, and Middle Eastern markets, enhance capacity in Asia Pacific and Latin America, and strengthen supply security with dual sourcing alternatives for global accounts.
Furthermore, the new powders enable Symrise to meet the growing need for convenient, cost-effective, and indulgent natural chicken solutions, which are commonly used in noodles, bouillons, and soups. They combine sustainable sources with consistent quality while allowing for clean labels. This allows food makers to differentiate their products in competitive markets. Customers can already request early samples for examination.
"The Berric site plays a central role in supporting our global customers," says Antoine Coursault, Strategic Growth Competence Director for Chicken at Symrise Food & Beverage. "With this new spray-drying tower, we are introducing chicken powders that broaden the alternatives accessible to food makers, ensure consistent supply, and promote product innovation. The extended site strengthens our ability to service regional markets while providing more options for global accounts. "With the new capabilities, Symrise strengthens its leadership in comprehensive chicken expertise."
With the assistance of its technology and insight experts, the company masters the whole value chain and uniquely mixes natural chicken ingredients with comprehensive flavour possibilities to match changing customer demands worldwide. In addition to powders, Symrise provides a diverse range of chicken-based ingredients, including broths, fat, and chicken parts, as well as a variety of authentic taste profiles (such as roasted, boiled, and grilled), with demonstrated performance in savoury dishes and clean labelling potential. This development, which builds on Symrise Food & Beverage's comprehensive chicken portfolio, demonstrates how the company is Accelerating Advantage: it assists food innovators who want to stay ahead of the competition in delivering products that stand out.
