Stahl Reopens State-of-the-Art Coatings Facility in Ranipet, India to Drive Innovation and Sustainability

Stahl, the leading provider of speciality coatings for flexible materials, has reopened its state-of-the-art coatings facility in Ranipet, India. This is a significant milestone in Stahl's transformation journey and further illustrates the strategic importance of its presence in India.

Stahl's dedication to innovation, sustainability, and customer collaboration is further emphasised by the reopening, which features locally produced, high-performance specialty coatings. The Ranipet facility was operational from April 2000 until its closure in 2019. Stahl has reopened the site with a focus on leather finishing, performance coatings, and packaging coatings, following the recent announcement of the divestment of its wet-end activities.

The Ranipet facility has been upgraded to consolidate the production of coatings formulations, research and development, and application lab and testing capabilities under a single roof. Stahl is able to collaborate with partners, strengthen customer collaboration, and accelerate development cycles as a result of this comprehensive setup. With the enhanced innovation lab, the company can respond to evolving market needs and scale operations in line with growing demand, driving innovation from within the region. Stahl shall continue to further strengthen its capabilities.
