Soudal Accelerates Global Presence in Adhesive Industry with Strategic Acquisition of Durante Adesivi

In a bold move to strengthen its foothold in the adhesive sector, Soudal has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Durante Adesivi, a leading Italian manufacturer specializing in adhesives for woodworking, assembly, and packaging. The deal includes Durante Adesivi's headquarters and two state-of-the-art production facilities located in the thriving Pordenone area.

With a rich history spanning over 60 years, Durante Adesivi has earned a formidable international reputation in the adhesive market, particularly in woodworking, assembly, textiles, and packaging applications. Operating in over 50 countries, the company's expertise lies in PUR, EVA/PO hot melt, and PVAc adhesives, coupled with a commitment to providing high-level customer support for dependable applications.

The strategic partnership presents a unique opportunity for synergies, offering complementary solutions and technologies to a global customer base. Importantly, Durante Adesivi would maintain its distinct identity, brand name, and market position within the Soudal family.

As part of Soudal's ambitious growth plans, the current workforce of 114 employees at Durante Adesivi would witness expansion. With Durante's anticipated turnover nearing 100 million Euros, Soudal is setting its sights on achieving a group turnover of 1.5 billion Euros by 2024. These developments mark a significant milestone for Soudal, with the addition of the Italian production facilities elevating its global count to 27th and 28th in the world. The acquisition signals a dynamic phase for both companies, poised for impactful contributions to the adhesive industry on a global scale.
