Skechers is expanding its European operations with a new, larger distribution centre to support the brand’s growth across the region. The 200,000m² state-of-the-art facility will be located in Liège, Belgium, close to the city’s airport and motorways, and just 12 km from its current European distribution hub.
The transition to the new centre will begin gradually in 2028, ensuring uninterrupted operations throughout the process. The facility will incorporate renewable energy features and meet BREEAM: Excellent standards. Additionally, the project is expected to create new job opportunities.
“The growing demand for our products across EMEA channels and regions drove a 30% sales increase in the third quarter of 2024,” said COO David Weinberg. “We are confident this momentum will continue as we expand our product offerings and enhance accessibility for consumers across Europe—whether through our 500+ Skechers stores, e-commerce platforms, or our network of third-party retailers.”
Weinberg emphasised that increased infrastructure and personnel at the European Distribution Centre will be critical, as the facility is poised to play a significant role in both the company’s near-term and long-term growth strategy.
