Saint-Gobain India intends to invest US$1.14 billion to 'triple' its business by the end of its 2031 financial year. The strategy will target acquisitions and encompass gypsum wallboard.
The company anticipates that the market for gypsum wallboard will expand due to its increasing popularity in residential construction. Other significant markets include Tamil Nadu, where the group has committed to projects totalling US$560 million.
Saint-Gobain Asia-Pacific and India CEO Sreedhar Natarajan said “I am willing to acquire anything meaningful for our organisation.”
