Safic-Alcan and Evonik Fibres Expand High-Performance Polyimide Distribution in Europe

Safic-Alcan, a global distributor of speciality chemicals, and Evonik Fibres GmbH, a specialist in high-performance polymer technologies, have announced a partnership to distribute Evonik’s P84® Polyimide product portfolio.

Effective immediately, Safic-Alcan will serve as the distributor for Evonik’s P84® powders and solutions across Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. The agreement further reinforces the long-standing collaboration between Safic-Alcan and various Evonik business lines across major European industrial markets.

P84® polyimides are widely recognised for their outstanding thermal stability, chemical resistance, and mechanical strength, making them well suited for demanding applications such as high-temperature and anti-friction coatings, automotive and aerospace components, abrasive tools, and wear-resistant sliding elements used in the glass processing industry.
