Safic-Alcan Acquired Anders Stake to boost its South American presence

Paris–La Défense – Safic-Alcan has acquired a majority stake in Peru-based specialty chemical distributor Anders, strengthening its presence across South America. Anders operates offices in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, and Ecuador, with additional activities in Paraguay and Uruguay. Safic-Alcan described Anders as the “perfect complement” to its existing operations in Brazil.

Founded in 1964, Anders is a third-generation family business led by Peter Anders Hornung. The company distributes a wide range of specialty chemicals, serving industrial sectors such as adhesives and construction.

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue the legacy created by Peter, his father Peter Sr and grandfather Eugenio before him. We now have a formidable presence across Latin America, and we look forward to continuing to bring value to our clients and suppliers in the region.
