Prodalim continues its accelerated strategic transformation with the acquisition of René Laurent, a leading beverage flavours company situated in the Grasse area, France

Prodalim, a global leader in juice and speciality ingredient solutions, said today that it has acquired René Laurent, a premier beverage flavour company, from International Flavours & Fragrances Inc. (IFF).


René Laurent, founded in 1885 in Grasse, southern France's flavour and fragrance capital, is a century-old, trusted company that specialises in beverage flavour solutions and unique aromatic ingredients. The company collaborates with prominent multinational customers and local beverage industry champions, providing extensive knowledge in complicated, tailored taste development for syrups, liqueurs, naturals, and coffee. René Laurent is regarded as an expert in complex and customised formulations due to its wide flavour library and unique in-house distillation and extraction capabilities.


René Laurent will join Prodalim's Beverage Compounds business line, which will boost the company's overall beverage solutions portfolio. This integrated platform currently includes juice-based compounds, multi-blends, functional compounds, and flavor-based solutions, all supported by a solid supply chain, superior product development capabilities, and a strong worldwide sales organisation. Together, these skills will enable Prodalim to provide a comprehensive one-stop shop tailor-made service to consumers worldwide while also accelerating its lucrative growth trajectory.


René Laurent's acquisition is another significant step in Prodalim's rapid strategic transformation to solidify its position as a high-value innovation partner for the Food and Beverage industry.


As part of its transition, Prodalim has restructured its activities into three purpose-driven divisions:


  • Juice Solutions is a legacy business that provides a one-stop shop solution for juice manufacturers, encompassing sourcing, shipping, formulation, and blending


  • Speciality elements & Solutions covers taste elements such as essential oils, aromatic fruit-based essences (FTNF) and tastes, as well as beverage compounds solutions and functional additives, including citrus fibres and natural colours.


  • SOLOS is a premium de-alcoholization patent-based solution for the NoLo industry.


All divisions are supported by Prodalim's vertically integrated, regenerative supply chain, which is founded on circular economy concepts. Prodalim's strategy enables Food and Beverage firms to develop while prioritising sustainability, functionality, and transparency.
