Spanish fragrance firm Perfumes y Diseño (PyD) expands into skincare for the first time. The family-owned company has taken a majority investment in Twelve Beauty, a Spanish brand created in 2012 by chemist Pedro Catalá.

The financial terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

"This move not only expands our brand portfolio, but also marks the beginning of a new chapter: we are entering the world of conscious beauty, with a firm commitment to responsible innovation and international growth," PyD wrote on her LinkedIn page.

"Through Twelve Beauty, we reaffirm our commitment to ingredient purity, advanced dermatological science, and sustainability." The brand has become a benchmark among customers and dermatological experts worldwide as a result of its production methodology, which combines rigorous research with deep regard for nature," the business stated.

Twelve Beauty's skincare products are made with botanical active ingredients derived from organic farming or biotechnology. The items have a natural aroma made from floral extracts and trace amounts of essential oils. The brand exclusively uses natural emulsifiers.

Twelve Beauty is available in Spain and has a global presence through distributors in Hong Kong, Shanghai, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States, which is supplemented by its global online sales channel.

PyD, which is controlled by the Trólez family, owns brands like Tous, Bimba y Lola, and Scalpers.
