Pearl Polyurethane Systems, based in Dubai, has officially launched its first manufacturing facility in Southeast Asia, located in Dong Nai province, southern Vietnam. This new plant, situated in the An Phuoc industrial park in Long Thanh district, marks the company's fifth production site worldwide. It lies just eight kilometers from the Long Thanh International Airport mega project and 45 kilometers from the Cai Mep-Thi Vai seaport cluster in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
The facility will produce a range of polyurethane (PU) products, including prepolymers and polyester resins. Known for its durability and adaptability to harsh environments, PU is widely utilized across various industries due to its excellent abrasion resistance and chemical stability.
According to Pearl Group's CEO, Martin Kruczinna, Vietnam's dynamic business environment, strategic location, and favorable policies make it an ideal base for accessing neighboring markets such as Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Australia, with potential future exports to South Korea and Japan. He noted that the plant will cater to both the local market and regional demand, further solidifying the company's presence in Southeast Asia.
The inauguration of the Vietnam plant aligns with Pearl's long-term goal of establishing itself as a leading global PU provider. In the first nine months of 2024, Dong Nai province attracted nearly $1.2 billion in registered foreign direct investment, reflecting a 23% year-on-year increase and ranking it eighth among the largest FDI recipients in Vietnam during this period, according to the local Department of Planning and Investment.
