OCI to Exit TDI Business

OCI Company Ltd., a significant South Korean industrial chemicals producer, produces a variety of products, including toluene diisocyanate (TDI), a critical component of polyurethane that is utilized in the construction and manufacturing industries.
The company's board has authorized the termination of its TDI manufacturing and sales business, which generated approximately KRW 118 billion in sales, or 5.87% of its consolidated revenue in 2025. The strategic shift to concentrate resources on higher-return core businesses and potentially alter its product mix and competitive positioning in industrial chemicals is signalled by the exit from this marginal line, which is effective December 18, 2026. This exit is intended to improve profitability and enhance corporate and shareholder value.
