Nouryon has opened an innovation centre in Shanghai, China, as part of its commitment to improving collaborative development and promoting sustainable growth throughout the Asia Pacific region. The company aims to promote local innovation and enhance cosmetic formulations for skin, sun, colour, and hair care.
“The launch of our innovation center in Shanghai marks another important milestone in Nouryon’s future in China,” says Charlie Shaver, chairman and CEO of Nouryon.
“It deepens our commitment to innovation and customer intimacy, while enhancing our ability to co-develop high-performance, market-tailored solutions. This center will play a critical role in supporting our customers’ growth across key industries and accelerating our strategic ambitions in China and the broader Asia-Pacific region.”
The centre represents Nouryon's 14th global innovation network. The centre will provide support for prototyping, performance evaluation, and the development of beauty solutions specifically designed for Chinese consumers. Shanghai Centre is twice the size of the company's previous innovation facility. It is promoted as a means to improve technical capabilities through investments in testing and analytical equipment. The centre encompasses multiple sectors and includes a dedicated customer experience facility for the personal care industry.
