Namaa Flavours & Fragrances has announced intentions to invest EGP 250 million in a comprehensive development program to modernise its manufacturing infrastructure in Ramadan City and boost production capacity to support export expansion.
Namaa's CEO, Hesham Allam, stated that the new investments are part of a larger modernisation plan that includes upgrading production lines and equipment, as well as improving the efficiency of aromatic raw-material management to ensure operational stability and product quality.
He told Al Borsa daily that the proposed expansions will raise production capacity by roughly 40% by 2026 to satisfy rising worldwide demand, with a particular emphasis on deepening domestic manufacturing based on Egyptian aromatic plants to maximise national added value. Results from this phase are likely to surface within the same year.
The concept also includes creating a specialised Natural Aroma Isolation Facility to achieve complete industrial integration through vacuum fractional distillation technology.
Isolated aroma compounds are highly active chemicals that meet pharmaceutical criteria; many are employed as key components in medicinal compositions.
Allam explained that the majority of Namaa's output is shipped to the United States, as well as many European and Asian countries. The organisation intends to grow across Africa and Latin America in the near future. The investment is being funded by internal resources and operational profits, and the company is looking into suitable strategic alliances to promote long-term growth and strengthen its balanced international footprint.
He added that Namaa recently received an acquisition offer from a foreign investment institution, but management preferred to keep the company's independence and Egyptian character, in line with its long-term strategy of carefully managed organic growth.
Namaa Flavours & Fragrances NFF, an Egyptian business specialising in flavour and fragrance compounds, was founded in 2015. The company follows Green Chemistry principles, which promote sustainable manufacturing and coincide with the global surge in demand for high-value fragrance compounds.
