Mitsui Chemicals Group Sets Up Coating Technical Centre in India

Mitsui Chemicals has inaugurated a new technical facility in Gurugram, Haryana, India, dedicated to advancing its coatings and engineering materials operations. Situated near Delhi, the 450-square-meter centre is equipped with advanced coating machinery and analytical tools, aiming to enhance local technical assistance for clients.

The facility will focus on supporting products like Takenate and Takelac, polyurethane adhesives used in film lamination, enabling faster resolution of customer issues within India rather than relying on evaluations in Japan. Additionally, the centre will drive R&D initiatives using cutting-edge coating technologies to help clients innovate and develop new products.

Mitsui highlighted that the expansion strengthens its footprint in India while positioning the company to extend technical services to markets in the Middle East and Africa. This move underscores its commitment to improving regional customer support and fostering collaborative innovation.
