MANE Breaks Ground on USD 70 Million Pinghu Phase II Expansion to Strengthen Fragrance Production in China

MANE China has officially commenced construction of Phase II of its Pinghu production facility on 31 October 2025, marking a significant milestone in the Group’s long-term investment strategy in China and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

The expansion represents a total investment of USD 70 million and covers approximately 14,000 square metres, aimed at substantially enhancing MANE’s localised manufacturing capabilities, with a strong focus on fragrances.

According to Denis Raffaud, Managing Director – Greater China, the project reflects MANE’s confidence in the sustained growth potential of the Chinese market and its commitment to serving customers through local production.

Building on the success of Phase I, which was inaugurated in June 2023 and established a solid manufacturing base for flavour production, Phase II has been designed in response to rising demand and increasingly sophisticated customer requirements in the fragrance segment. The new phase will support a broad portfolio of fragrance formats and advanced technologies, including liquid processing, adsorption, spray drying, microencapsulation and macroencapsulation. Encapsulation technology will play a central role, enabling improved fragrance stability and controlled, long-lasting scent release across a wide range of applications.

Scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2027, the Phase II expansion is expected to increase MANE’s annual production capacity by approximately 17,000 tonnes. This capacity uplift will significantly strengthen the Group’s ability to supply customers across the Asia-Pacific region, while reinforcing Pinghu as a future-ready manufacturing hub.

With expanded capacity, diversified technological capabilities and an enhanced product offering, MANE is well positioned to support customer growth and capture new opportunities in the fragrance market over the coming decade.
