Lubrizol Introduces New TPU Grades

Lubrizol is introducing new grades of TPU designed for cables, films and adhesives. The products will be on display at the forthcoming K show in Düsseldorf. One of the new products, Estane ZHF 87HP8 TPU, is designed for thin cables with enhanced mechanical and flame properties. This will meet requirement.
The new TPU products, is designed for thin cables with enhanced mechanical and flame properties. This will meet requirements for compliance with UL 1581, IEC 50363 and EC 60332-1-2 regulations. The portfolio of TPUs for hot melt and adhesive extrusion has been expanded with the addition of three further products. The company said that Pearlbond ECO 590 HMS TPU, 360 TPU and 920L TPU give good process versatility. Applications include seam tapes, webs and furniture edge banding, where they are said to give reliable bonding performance.
The applications of Estane D91T86 TPU are being extended from moulded specialty parts to high-performance films and other extruded parts. It gives good weatherability and superior UV resistance compared to aromatic TPU, as per Lubrizol.
