Lubrizol Establishes Innovation Centre in Singapore

Lubrizol has constructed an additional innovation centre, specifically for the Southeast Asian market. The company established the centre in Jurong, Singapore, with the aim of strengthening its customer partnerships and facilitating the advancement of innovations. The Singapore Economic Development Board provided support to the centre. The 15,000 m² multi-floor centre is equipped with advanced laboratories, experience zones, and designated areas for technical training and knowledge exchange. The company stated that its experts and product developers will leverage local R&D and testing capabilities to assist customers in a variety of sectors with product development.

“This new innovation centre represents a significant commitment to our innovation locally,” said Henry Liu, VP at Lubrizol Asia Pacific. “By bringing together expertise across Lubrizol and our partners, this collaborative facility will enable acceleration of technologies that meet the region’s evolving needs, turning shared innovation into breakthrough solutions that solve real-world challenges.”

The company has also executed memoranda of understanding with the Singapore Economic Development Board and United Oil, a joint venture between Repsol and the oil company. The latter is aimed to investigate joint innovation opportunities and broaden market reach through collaborative product development, whereas the former establishes a shared commitment to innovation and the exploration of additional investment opportunities over the next five years.
