LANXESS has launched Disflamoll® Advance, a next-generation platform for plasticising flame retardants with an exceptionally low triphenyl phosphate (TPP) content of less than 0.1%. The platform is designed to help manufacturers meet evolving regulatory and compliance requirements while maintaining high performance standards.
Disflamoll® Advance delivers strong flame-retardant and smoke-suppression properties, helps reduce or eliminate the use of antimony trioxide (ATO) in formulations, and improves processing efficiency. According to Heiko Tebbe, Head of Application Development for Polymer Additives at LANXESS, the platform combines regulatory readiness, technical performance and sustainability to support both current and future market needs.
The first product in the range, Disflamoll® Advance OT, is developed for polar polymer systems and is suitable for applications including flexible PVC flooring, tarpaulins, synthetic leather, insulation foams, thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU), synthetic rubbers, and cellulose esters.
