Kingspan Insulation, a division of the global building materials leader Kingspan Group, has reinforced its commitment to Saudi Arabia through the operational launch of a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Dammam. The investment represents a significant milestone in the company’s regional expansion strategy and aligns closely with Saudi Arabia’s industrial localisation and sustainability objectives under Vision 2030.
The facility has been designed as an advanced, automated production hub dedicated to manufacturing HVAC ductwork insulation and building insulation boards, enabling Kingspan to serve the Kingdom’s rapidly growing construction sector more effectively while reducing delivery times and enhancing supply-chain resilience.
Beyond manufacturing, the site will function as a technical and specification support centre, providing both on-site and off-site advisory services to developers, consultants and contractors. The company highlighted that local production will improve product availability, strengthen domestic value chains and support the adoption of high-performance building materials across the Kingdom. Notably, FM-approved roofing insulation solutions will now be manufactured locally, increasing accessibility for major industrial and commercial projects.
According to Kingspan, the facility will also contribute to job creation and the development of local expertise while supporting the transition towards more energy-efficient and lower-carbon buildings.
Managing Director of Kingspan Insulation Middle East & Africa, Sarmad Fakhri, stated that local manufacturing is a critical enabler of the company’s mission to accelerate the transition to a net-zero carbon built environment.
Looking ahead, Kingspan plans to scale production at the Dammam plant, expand export capabilities to neighbouring regional markets and advance sustainability initiatives focused on carbon reduction, renewable energy use, water efficiency and waste minimisation. The investment underscores the company’s confidence in Saudi Arabia’s long-term construction growth prospects and its ambition to play a leading role in supporting the Kingdom’s evolving building and infrastructure sectors.
