Kimpur, a global producer of polyurethane systems, has achieved a significant milestone in its sustainability journey by obtaining ISCC PLUS certification for its Gebze and Düzce production facilities, reinforcing its commitment to integrating environmentally responsible practices across its value chain.

This internationally recognized certification ensures full traceability of sustainable raw materials, from sourcing to final product, and verifies the use of bio-circular and recycled inputs in manufacturing processes.

Following a comprehensive independent audit, the certification enables Kimpur to expand its portfolio of certified polyurethane systems and polyester polyols, responding to increasing customer demand for sustainable and transparent products.

A key aspect of this development is the implementation of the mass balance approach, which allows the company to incorporate bio-circular feedstocks and post-consumer or industrial waste into existing production systems without requiring major infrastructure changes or compromising product performance.

As a result, Kimpur can offer ISCC PLUS-certified solutions across a wide range of applications, including rigid and flexible foams, coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers (CASE), and footwear. The company has already been producing polyester polyols derived from recycled PET waste, converting post-consumer plastics into valuable intermediate materials, and the certification now brings these circular economy solutions under an internationally verifiable framework.
