Interparfums Secures Nautica with 20-Year Global Fragrance Deal

Interparfums is doubling focused on long-term brand development. The company has obtained an exclusive 20-year global licence with Nautica, which is owned by the Authentic Brands Group, giving it exclusive control over the brand's fragrance formulation, production, and global distribution.

The transaction adds a well-known, mass-appeal name to Interparfums' portfolio at a time when scale, longevity, and predictable cash flow are increasingly valued. According to the company, Nautica, which has long been associated with clean, marine-inspired aromas and affordable prices, is expected to earn more than $70 million in annual fragrance sales in its first few years under Interparfums' supervision.

Chairman and CEO Jean Madar described the decision as a natural extension of Interparfums' cooperation with Authentic, highlighting Nautica's "maritime spirit" and widespread global awareness. For insiders, the message is clear: Interparfums sees opportunities to modernise and develop a traditional lifestyle fragrance franchise while remaining true to its DNA.

Authentic's Jamie Salter emphasised the strategic reasoning, citing Interparfums' track record across numerous licensed brands in the Authentic portfolio. With complete global responsibility transferring on January 1, 2030, the extended lead time indicates a cautious handover—and a long runway for repositioning, portfolio expansion, and global deployment.
