International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. has inaugurated its new Scent Dubai Creative Center, a 2,000-square-meter expansion within the Dubai Science Park Laboratory Complex. The facility is designed to enhance IFF’s capabilities in delivering innovative fragrance solutions tailored to the Middle Eastern market.
“This region is critical to IFF’s global growth strategy,” said Erik Fyrwald, CEO of IFF. “With rising disposable income, digital accessibility, and strong cultural affinity for fragrances, the Middle East presents immense opportunity. Our Dubai Creative Center allows us to respond faster to evolving local preferences.”
Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and deeply rooted in regional cultural inspiration, the center features a perfumery art studio, a traditional majlis sitting room, and a dedicated academy for perfumery training. It also includes a semi-industrial production robot, expediting speed to market for new scent developments.
Ana Paula Mendonça, president of IFF Scent, highlighted the facility's comprehensive sensory infrastructure:
“From fine fragrances to fabric care, our evaluation booths and advanced fragrance tech ensure superior scent solutions across categories.”
The center extends IFF’s global network of creative hubs, complementing the company’s renowned Atelier du Perfumeur in Grasse and the Shanghai Perfumery Art Studio. Sabrya Meflah, president of fine fragrance, emphasized the center’s role in fostering creative exchange among global and regional talent.
With over 15 years of presence in Dubai, IFF continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the region’s fragrance landscape, supporting both regional and global brand success.
