IFF Expands Latin American Presence with New Enzyme Hub and Application Laboratory

International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) has announced the expansion of its operations in Latin America through the development of a new enzyme production hub and an application laboratory, aimed at strengthening its Health & Biosciences capabilities across the region. As part of this initiative, the company is transforming its existing site in Arroyito, Argentina, into its first fermentation-based enzyme production hub in Latin America.

The facility will enhance IFF’s regional manufacturing capacity and support the growing demand for enzyme solutions in sectors such as brewing, animal nutrition, biofuels and grain processing. Alongside this development, IFF has also established a household care application laboratory at its Innovation Center in Brazil, which will focus on developing locally relevant enzyme solutions for cleaning and home care products. The combined investments are intended to improve operational speed, supply reliability and technical collaboration with customers across the Latin American market.

By expanding its regional footprint, IFF aims to deliver solutions that are more closely tailored to local industry needs while strengthening its position in one of the company’s fastest-growing markets. The new facilities will allow IFF to accelerate product development and support customers with application expertise, enabling faster adaptation to market trends and regulatory requirements.

The expansion also reflects the company’s broader strategy of leveraging biotechnology and enzyme innovation to deliver more sustainable and efficient solutions across multiple industries.
