IFF Announces an Agreement to Sell its Portfolio of Botanical Extracts, Vitamins and Minerals, and Food Enhancement Activities to SuanNutra, a Carbyne Equity Partners Portfolio Company

IFF, a global leader in flavours, fragrances, and health and biosciences, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with SuanNutra, a Carbyne Equity Partners portfolio company and global provider of science-backed branded and functional ingredients, to sell its portfolio of botanical extracts, vitamins and minerals, and food enhancement activities, including its range of natural colours and antioxidants and certain localised flavour activities in P.

The portfolio provides customised solutions to a diverse variety of food, beverage, and nutritional end sectors.

The transaction includes operations that will generate roughly $170 million in sales in 2025. The activities included in the transaction employ around 600 people and operate across five production facilities in Europe, the United States, and Latin America. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The businesses plan to complete the transaction by the end of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions such as regulatory clearances and satisfaction of any consultation requirements. Alantra served as IFF's financial advisor, while DLA Piper LLP provided legal guidance.
