I.T.S. Announces New Flavour Manufacturing Site

I.T.S, an independent taste company, has announced a major expansion of its business, including ambitions to establish one of the UK's largest natural flavour manufacturing plants.

I.T.S, situated in Newbury, has purchased an 8.2-acre industrial park west of Newbury near Hungerford, which provides great access to the M4. I.T.S will invest more than £10 million in the site's development. The completion date is expected to be between 12 and 18 months.

Redevelopment

The new Hungerford site will involve a complete refurbishment of the old factory, as well as an extension and update to the offices. The new Hungerford location will provide 20 times greater manufacturing capacity for liquid and powdered flavours than its current Newbury plant, as well as scalable production of extracts and compounds.

The site's size allows for plenty of room for future extensions as the firm grows; I.T.S. is currently growing at a rate of roughly 35% per year.

I.T.S' existing locations in Newbury, which now house the company's production and product development, will remain untouched; both are being expanded and will continue to operate normally.

As a result of the growth, I.T.S. plans to increase its workforce, creating job possibilities in Swindon, Marlborough, Hungerford, and Newbury.

Mike Bagshaw founded I.T.S. in 2009 with the goal of bringing innovation and fun into the flavours business. The company now employs 40 people and delivers natural flavours to the food and beverage industries.

Mike's original concept remains at the heart of I.T.S, and it is this approach to being 'brave' with taste while responding fast to client needs that has contributed to the company's success thus far.
