Henkel Inaugrates Adhesive Technologies Application Center

Henkel has established an additional engineering centre for adhesive technologies in Shanghai. The company expects that its capacity to serve the Chinese and Asia-Pacific markets will be further improved.

Anna An, President of Henkel Greater China, stated: “The launch of the Adhesive Technologies Application Engineering Center in Shanghai is a strong demonstration of Henkel’s commitment to innovation-driven development. Looking ahead, we will continue to deepen our footprint in China, strengthen our technology platforms, and speed up the industrial application of innovation to better support long-term development in both China and the surrounding region.”

The company said the centre is designed to accelerate the transformation of innovations into industrial applications through the testing of localized applications and process scale-up. The 3200m2 centre includes advanced testing equipment and simulation labs, allowing performance testing and validation to be carried out according to customer and end-use scenarios.

The new application centre will work closely with its inspiration centre in Shanghai, which is scheduled to open later this year. This will form an integrated pathway from R&D to industrial upgrade, and strengthen the support capabilities of its local technology platform.
