Givaudan has announced its intention to purchase Belle Aire Creations, a fragrance company situated in the United States noted for its innovative expertise and strong regional customer ties. The deal is consistent with Givaudan's 2030 objective of expanding its customer base with local and regional customers.

Further strengthen offerings for local and regional customers in North America

Since its inception in 1982, Belle Aire Creations has been driven by creativity, enthusiasm, and an uncompromising commitment to perfection. From its entrepreneurial roots to its current industry position, the company has been a beacon of innovation and expansion, motivated by the conviction that true success is measured by customer pleasure.

Belle Aire Creations was formed by three Illinois entrepreneurs - Don Conover Sr., a seasoned perfumery specialist, and brothers Richard and Charles David - who had a vision for high-quality fragrance development with greater agility. By locating the company in the heart of the Midwest, they established a central hub capable of efficiently serving a wide and diversified range of consumers across the country.

Belle Aire Creations has made significant investments in people, technology, and resources, transforming it into a dominant force in the fragrance market. This unwavering dedication to people and advancement has fuelled the company's growth, improved its reputation, and solidified its position as a reliable partner to consumers across North America.

Givaudan CEO, Gilles Andrier, stated, "The acquisition of Belle Aire Creations represents an exciting milestone for Givaudan as we continue our journey to deliver long-term sustainable growth." Their strong customer partnerships and entrepreneurial spirit complement our vision and principles."

Maurizio Volpi, president Fragrance & Beauty at Givaudan, added, "With Belle Aire Creations, we will improve our offering for local and regional consumers in North America, where we believe there is still considerable opportunity. This acquisition will enable us to combine our worldwide creative resources with Belle Aire Creations' extensive regional knowledge to provide winning solutions to our customers. As part of this combination, Stacey David will continue to head Belle Aire Creations, building on her exceptional track record and drive for growth in the important segment of local and regional clients that will be extremely helpful to Givaudan."

Stacey David, CEO of Belle Aire Creations, stated, "This is a watershed moment for Belle Aire. We are not only expanding on our past, but also developing something genuinely special, thanks to similar principles, complementary talents, and a common vision. As we define the future of scent, we will magnify our effect, provide our customers with even more innovation, and broaden the opportunities we provide. We are extremely proud of our fantastic team, our incredible community, and the dedicated consumers who have been at the core of our journey. "The best has yet to come."

While the terms of the transaction will not be disclosed, Belle Aire Creations' business would have contributed about CHF 65 million in incremental sales to Givaudan's performance in 2024 on a pro forma basis. Givaudan intends to fund the deal using current resources, and the transaction is expected to completion by the end of 2025 or early in 2026, subject to any necessary regulatory processes.
