Givaudan Reports Strong H1 2024 Results with 12.5% Sales Growth

Givaudan reported CHF 3,737 million in sales for the first six months of 2024, reflecting a 12.5% increase on a like-for-like (LFL) basis and 5.7% growth in Swiss francs. The company achieved robust growth across all product segments, geographies, and customer groups, with high-growth markets increasing by 20.5% LFL and mature markets by 6.0% LFL. Givaudan also reported a net income of CHF 588 million, a 30.9% increase over 2023.


Fragrance & Beauty sales reached CHF 1,826 million, marking a 15.3% increase LFL and 9.2% in Swiss francs. Fine Fragrance sales grew by 14.9% LFL, Consumer Products sales by 17.3% LFL, and sales of Fragrance Ingredients and Active Beauty by 8.0% LFL.


Taste & Wellbeing sales were CHF 1,911 million, showing a 9.9% increase LFL and 2.6% in Swiss francs. Regional sales rose across the board, with notable increases in Latin America (32.6% LFL), South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East (12.5% LFL), Asia Pacific (9.3% LFL), Europe (5.5% LFL), and North America (4.5% LFL). The gross profit improved by 13.7% from CHF 1,448 million in 2023 to CHF 1,646 million in 2024, with the gross margin rising to 44.1% from 41.0% due to higher cost absorption and margin improvement measures.
