Givaudan plans to invest USD 110 million in a new fragrance compounding facility in Pedro Escobedo, Mexico

Givaudan, the global leader in fragrance and beauty, today announced a significant strategic investment to develop a new fragrance manufacturing plant in Pedro Escobedo, bolstering its industrial foothold in Latin America and supporting its growth plans. This investment aligns with Givaudan's 2030 strategy, which emphasises long-term growth, operational excellence, and sustainable value creation across regions.

The initiative demonstrates Givaudan Fragrance & Beauty's commitment to its 'in the region, for the region' supply strategy, which improves agility, shortens lead times, and lowers transportation-related costs and emissions by bringing production closer to consumers in Mexico and Latin America. The new compounding factory will have a capacity of 20,000-25,000 tonnes as customer demand increases and will be operational by 2029.

This new facility will strengthen our supply infrastructure in Latin America, allowing us to optimise production flows while lowering our environmental impact," said Andy Stedman, Global Head of Operations at Givaudan Fragrance & Beauty.

It also adds on Givaudan's 2024 announcement to increase Fragrance & Beauty production capacity for encapsulation technologies at Pedro Escobedo, Mexico, highlighting the site's rising strategic relevance within Givaudan Fragrance & Beauty's worldwide network.
