Forvia and ANAND Join Forces in India for Automotive Seating

FORVIA, a global automotive technology supplier, and ANAND Group, an Indian mobility solutions provider, have signed a joint venture (JV) agreement to strengthen their presence in India’s growing automotive seating market.

The partnership will combine FORVIA’s global expertise in automotive seating systems with ANAND Group’s local manufacturing capabilities, established customer relationships and industry knowledge to drive growth in seat frames and complete seats.

The new entity, Faurecia Anand Seating India Private Limited, will be controlled by FORVIA, which will hold a 50% plus one share stake, while Gabriel India, ANAND Group’s flagship listed company, will hold the remaining 50% minus one share.

The joint venture will leverage FORVIA Seating’s technology, engineering expertise and product portfolio to strengthen relationships with Indian original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and expand its manufacturing capabilities.

The partnership aims to improve supply chain efficiency, strengthen local production and develop talent to support future growth opportunities across India.

It will also support FORVIA Seating’s ambition to achieve approximately 10% market share in India over the next five years as an initial growth milestone.

Building on a longstanding partnership established in 1991 through a collaboration in clean mobility, the joint venture is expected to provide a platform for expanding automotive seating solutions and strengthening both companies’ positions in India’s automotive components industry.
