dsm-firmenich announces the Cloud Dancer fragrance collection inspired by the Pantone® Colour of the Year 2026

dsm-firmenich, innovators in nutrition, health, and beauty, has once again collaborated with PANTONE®, the global colour authority and provider of professional colour language standards and digital solutions for the design community, to create a one-of-a-kind fragrance collection that translates the PANTONE® Colour of the Year for 2026, Cloud Dancer PANTONE® 11-4201, into scent. dsm-firmenich has been the official sensory partner of PANTONE® Colour of the Year since 2001, thanks to its expertise in transforming colours into fragrances. This collaboration combines science with the art of colour and aroma, producing scents that perfectly blend delight and care, adding a new depth to serenity and wellbeing.

To coincide with the Colour of the Year for 2026, dsm-firmenich introduces the Cloud Dancer fragrance line, which is inspired by rhythm, tempo, and emotion. The collection includes ten perfumes in various formats, including eau de parfum, eau de toilette, a candle, body mist, face and body lotion, room spray, and liquid hand soap, which transform this magnificent hue of white into scent. The Cloud Dancer collection uses dsm-firmenich's emotiOn™ and emotiCode™ scent design criteria to create a specific mood for each colour. Perfumers use these breakthroughs, as well as their skills and skill, to select the best ingredients to convey this shade, which reads like a breath of fresh air. It is a colour that conveys tranquilly and quiet, much as white florals that convey the same emotional tone. From top to bottom, these scents exude peace, a calming impact in a fast-paced world.

DSM-firmenich Perfumer Coralie Spicher, located in Paris, created the hero scent Cloud Dancer eau de parfum, which features white patchouli for an airy and ethereal vibe.

"Cloud Dancer is such an inspirational name and colour with poetic facets, it is a colour in motion — not fast, but slow and delicate, carried by the wind, deeply connected to nature," she told me. "I wanted something white to highlight the patchouli in a softer light. It's my take on white patchouli, something that soothes the senses while still stimulating the mind. I was motivated by the concept of opposites when designing Cloud Dancer, so I combined coconut with an overload of Clearwood® Prisma for intensity."

The Cloud Dancer fragrance line was designed using dsm-firmenich's unique components, including Patchouli Heart SFE, Coconut NaturePrint®, and Clearwood® Prisma. Cloud Dancer is a thoughtfully designed collection that employs cutting-edge techniques such as SFE (Supercritical Fluid Extraction), an extraction process that preserves an ingredient's natural profile, and NaturePrint®, a proprietary collection of fragrance materials that uses headspace technology to capture the essence of an ingredient while preserving biodiversity. Clearwood® Prisma is a biotech component with a strong woody-patchouli aroma, enhanced oakmoss, and amber aspects.
