Creations Foods USA Inc. and Get Real Foods LLC (dba Real Cookies) of Greenwich, Connecticut, have combined. The united firm will rebrand later to reflect the organization's shared philosophy and long-term ambition, according to the companies.
The deal will establish a vertically integrated CPG platform for producing healthier snack options.
Creations Foods manufactures gluten-free baked snacks such as cookies, crackers, cheese crisps, and granola. At its Pacific Northwest production plant, the company produces both branded and private label baked items, as well as co-manufactured products.
Creations Foods owns several brands, including HighKey Snacks, a manufacturer of high protein, low carbohydrate snacks with reduced sugar; Moon Cheese, a manufacturer of baked cheese snacks; Aw Yeah Snacks, a manufacturer of cookies with bold and intense flavours; and Real & Real Cookie Poppers, cookies made with minimal ingredients.
Lauren Berger and Marla Felton started Real Cookies in 2021 to make cookies free of gluten, wheat, dairy, eggs, corn and soy.
Following the merger, Gregg Felton, co-founder and CEO of Altus Power, Inc., and an early investor in Real Cookies, will join the combined company's board of directors.
Berger will become vice president of strategy and innovation, while Felton will remain an adviser, providing strategic assistance on brand innovation and long-term growth, according to the business.
"Consumers are demanding snacks that align with their lifestyles," Berger informed me. "This partnership positions us to deliver on that promise with creativity, scale, and authenticity."
