Blended expertise strengthens medium-sized food and beverage manufacturers

Bell Flavours & Fragrances EMEAI, based in Leipzig, is expanding its long-term collaboration with Brenntag, the world's biggest distributor of chemicals and ingredients, which began in 2025. At a joint meeting at the Leipzig plant, Brenntag's and Bell's management confirmed the further extension of their partnership.


Bell is pursuing a clear strategic goal with this collaboration: to supplement its development and flavour expertise wherever clients need application-oriented solutions, market intelligence, and technical support from one source.


Future-oriented Cooperation


"We prioritise leveraging our strengths with partners who are close to the market and customers." Today, medium-sized food and beverage firms, in particular, seek solutions that are both technically sound and easy to adopt," stated Holger Wetzler, CEO of Bell EMEAI.

Brenntag brings a diverse technical sales staff with extensive market and application expertise. This allows Bell flavours to be strategically integrated into customer-specific concepts and offered as application-oriented comprehensive solutions. "Our strength lies in understanding complex customer requirements and translating them into marketable solutions," says Sandra Vennemann-Toppka, Brenntag's Regional Business Director in DACH. “The collaboration with Bell expands our portfolio with high-quality flavour expertise.”

Increased value for medium-sized manufacturers


As a professional ingredient producer, Bell creates high-quality tastes that Brenntag effectively brings to market. Medium-sized producers, in particular, benefit from both partners' packaged products, application, and market experience, as they cannot source unique flavours or build sophisticated applications on their own.

Long-term cooperation planned


Since last year, both parties have worked extensively to coordinate their processes and build a shared understanding of market and customer needs. Bell created flavour collections for a variety of applications, including baked goods, dairy products, seasonings, and beverages, which were jointly reviewed and incorporated into the Brenntag range. This disciplined selection and integration procedure serves as the foundation for the cooperation today.


Bell and Brenntag's announced agreement strengthens their foothold in the German food and beverage tastes industry. Medium-sized manufacturers benefit from integrated technical, sensory, and application expertise, as well as solutions that are perfectly adapted to their manufacturing circumstances.
